Early Homer Starts The Action

The Milwaukee Brewers got off to a fast start on Wednesday when Jackson Chourio hit the very first pitch of the game for a home run off Blake Snell.

Snell quickly settled down after that opening blow. He retired fourteen batters in a row, striking out six of them during that strong stretch, while the Los Angeles Dodgers tried to find their rhythm.

Dodgers Take Brief Lead

The Dodgers finally broke through in the bottom of the sixth inning against the bullpen. Will Smith hit a two-run double off reliever Abner Uribe to give Los Angeles a 2-1 lead.

That moment gave the home fans something to cheer about after a quiet start. However, the advantage did not last long as the game turned in the next frame.

Milwaukee Strikes Back

The Brewers answered in the seventh inning to stun the Dodgers. Jake Bauers hit a long home run to right field to put Milwaukee ahead 3-2.

Garrett Mitchell followed that up with another solo shot immediately after. Those back-to-back homers chased Snell from the game and silenced the stadium.

Brewers Close Out Win

Milwaukee added more insurance runs later in the game. A wild pitch by Justin Wrobleski brought home another run in the eighth inning.

Joey Ortiz then added an RBI single in the ninth to secure the 6-2 victory. The result leaves the defending champions facing elimination as the series continues.

Tough Spot For Los Angeles

The loss pushes the Dodgers to the brink of elimination in the National League Championship Series. They now trail 3-0 in the best-of-seven matchup.

Game 4 takes place on Thursday at Dodger Stadium. The Brewers are now just one win away from completing a sweep.
