Hall Ready to Return Following Social Media Exit

New York Jets running back Breece Hall has declared that he is ready to play this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. He missed the last five games due to a quadriceps injury.

Hall practiced fully on Thursday for the first time since hurting his leg. During his absence, he deleted his social media accounts after receiving hostile messages and threats aimed at him and his family. Fans were angry because he was listed as questionable for two games but did not play after limited practice sessions.

Hall explained that his injury was more severe than reported. He noted that his leg became inflamed, sore, and stiff after practice, so he chose not to risk worsening it. He mentioned having a love and hate relationship with fans in New York, adding that dealing with high expectations comes with being an athlete there.

Sharing the Backfield Burden With Braelon Allen

While Hall was recovering, backup running back Braelon Allen took over the backfield duties. Allen rushed for 504 yards across those five matches, which was the second highest total in the league during that period.

Allen's strong form created speculation about a potential trade and raised questions about who would lead the backfield. However, offensive coordinator Frank Reich confirmed on Thursday that Hall remains the main running back for the team.

Reich stated that both players will get playing time. The team signed Hall to a three year deal worth 43.5 million dollars in the offseason. Hall stated that he has no problem sharing the workload with Allen, praising his teammate and the offensive line for their recent performances.

Team Outlook and Injury Update

The Jets enter this Sunday's game at Arrowhead Stadium with a 2-6 record after losing three games in a row. Their opponents, the Kansas City Chiefs, sit at 5-2 for the season.

In other injury news for New York, wide receiver Garrett Wilson missed practice for the second straight day. Wilson suffered a concussion in the previous match against the Las Vegas Raiders and remains in the concussion protocol.
