Ayesha Curry stars in new movie

Ayesha Curry is taking on her first lead role in a feature film. She stars in Second Chance Holiday, a new seasonal romantic comedy streaming on Roku.

Roku announced on Tuesday that the movie will premiere on Nov. 5. The news came alongside a trailer posted on social media. The project was first announced in July, but the official trailer and release date were revealed this week.

Plot details and cast

The film features Ayesha as Chelsey, a dating expert trying to break a pattern of getting dumped around the holidays. She runs into her high school crush, played by actor Matthew Daddario, and starts to wonder if her bad luck is actually steering her back to her first love.

Ayesha spoke about the project in July, sharing how much she enjoyed playing the character. She said that Chelsey is a fun, heartfelt character that she fell in love with while bringing her to life.

Her husband, four time NBA champion Stephen Curry, posted his support on X by calling Ayesha his leading lady. The couple has been married for 15 years and has four children together.

Previous acting work

While this is her first time as a feature film lead, Ayesha is not new to acting. She recently appeared in the animated movie GOAT, which was produced by Stephen Curry, who also featured in it.

She has also made television appearances over the years. Her credits include guest roles on Disney shows like Hannah Montana and Good Luck Charlie, as well as the HBO series Ballers. Now, she moves into a headlining role for the upcoming holiday season.
