Arsenal Target Alex Baena

Arsenal are looking at Atletico Madrid winger Alex Baena as they search for a top option on the left flank. The 25 year old winger has scored five goals and provided three assists in 11 La Liga matches this season. Bayern Munich are also interested in him. Reports suggest an offer worth 80 million Euros will be required to complete his transfer.

To raise funds for new additions, Arsenal could sell midfielder Martin Zubimendi. Real Madrid and Barcelona are showing interest in the 27 year old player. Zubimendi has struggled to start regularly since the arrival of Bruno Guimaraes. Arsenal want a fee of around 60 million Euros, which is the same amount they paid to land him from Real Sociedad in July 2025.

Juventus Seek New Striker in January

Juventus are planning to add a physical striker during the January transfer window. The Serie A club expects to have around 100 million Euros available to strengthen their squad. They are weighing up moves for Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko and AS Monaco forward Folarin Balogun.

Sesko, who is 23 years old, has not played for Manchester United since September 16 against Brighton in the EFL Cup due to injury. Balogun, who is 25 years old, is another option on their radar. Monaco had previously accepted an initial 40 million Euro offer from Everton for Balogun in the summer before that deal fell through.

Manchester United Look at Ivan Toney

Manchester United are monitoring Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney as they focus on adding depth at the center forward position. The 30 year old striker has scored 12 goals in nine Saudi Pro League matches this season. Toney has been in Saudi Arabia since leaving Brentford in the summer of 2024, and United have several other options on their shortlist as well.

Meanwhile, Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal have ended their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes. They are not expected to make a new approach in January because they do not plan to free up any overseas player slots. The 32 year old Fernandes has eight months left on his deal and has not agreed a new contract at Old Trafford.

European Clubs Track Young Talent

Barcelona are keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall. The 20 year old Swede chose Spurs over Barcelona in 2024, and his contract runs until the summer of 2031. He has made four Premier League appearances this season, with Napoli also watching him closely.

Manchester United are interested in Manchester City left back Rayan Ait-Nouri. Elsewhere, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint Germain have made inquiries for Chelsea winger Estevao. Liverpool will also look to offload Harvey Elliott if Valencia terminate his loan early in January.
