The home fans at the Amex Stadium enjoyed every minute of the match. They mocked the visiting champions with chants of "Are you Tottenham in disguise?" and "Champions of England, you're having a laugh" as the goals went in.

This result represents Arsenal's heaviest defeat since 2023. Arteta now faces a three week wait to put things right, with the international break pausing domestic football. Arsenal will not play again until they host Leeds on October 10.

Konsa Calls for Reflection

Defender Ezri Konsa also spoke about the loss. He challenged the squad to use the long break to reflect on what went wrong.

Konsa noted that conceding three goals was highly unusual for the team. He pointed out that two of Brighton's goals came from strikes outside the box where Arsenal failed to put enough pressure on the ball.

He urged the players to move on quickly and use the upcoming weeks to fix their mistakes before the Leeds game.
