Strong Start To The Campaign

Arsenal have started the new campaign with nine victories from 10 matches. They are currently sitting three points behind Manchester City in the Premier League table after taking their first league title in 22 years.

Their only blemish so far was a shock 3-0 defeat at Brighton. In Europe, Mikel Arteta and his players recently saw off Lille to make it two wins from two in the Champions League, marking their 14th consecutive victory in the group stage.

Chasing Both Major Trophies

Mikel Merino insists that the squad is ready to go one better than last season and complete a double of trophies. The team missed out on Champions League glory last term following a penalty shootout defeat against Paris St Germain.

Speaking about their winning streak in the group stage, Merino said it is an unbelievable run and they know they are making history. He added that the goal and objective is to win the Champions League, the Premier League, and everything else.

Injury Updates Ahead Of Fixtures

Ahead of their upcoming matches, Arsenal face a couple of fitness issues within the squad. Martín Zubimendi is likely to be back in contention after suffering an ankle injury in a training session following their win against Leeds.

Piero Hincapié also picked up an ankle issue during training at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta stated that Zubimendi is much better, while Hincapié is improving but faces a matter of weeks on the sidelines.
