A Historic Night in Austria
Alphadjo Cisse wrote his name into the history books on Thursday. He scored a brilliant hat trick in AC Milan's 4-0 win against RB Salzburg in the UEFA Europa League.
At 19 years and 358 days old, Cisse is now the youngest Italian player ever to score a hat trick in a major European competition. The previous record belonged to Giancarlo Danova, who was 20 years and 309 days old when he scored for Milan against Olympiacos in September 1959.
Goals and Record Breaking
Cisse opened the scoring with an early header. He added a second goal from close range before halftime and completed his hat trick with a right-foot shot shortly after the break. Substitute Goncalo Ramos scored the fourth goal to seal the victory.
Cisse is also the first Milan player to score three goals in a European match since Filippo Inzaghi did it against Deportivo La Coruna in September 2002. Cisse said he was really pleased with the hat trick and the win, and added that he will carry this form into the next match.
