The Ticket Price Protest

AC Milan has come out in strong support of their fans who are protesting against excessive away ticket prices. Milan supporters are boycotting Sunday night's match at Udinese.

The home club is charging €65, which is more than double the €30 that traveling supporters usually pay at the Bluenergy Stadium.

Club Statement on Unity

In a statement released on Wednesday, Milan said they understand the frustration of the fans. They added that away trips come with many additional costs and that fans should be treated the same no matter which club they follow.

The club stated that charging excessive prices undermines the unity of the league. Milan also warned that such practices create unhealthy antagonism between big and small teams in Serie A.

Threat of Retaliation

Milan plans to push for a league-wide cap on away ticket prices. Until then, the club is ready to introduce a policy of reciprocity.

Clubs that charge Milan supporters above average ticket pricing should expect their own fans to face higher prices when visiting San Siro. Any extra money made from this will be donated to Fondazione Milan for charity.
