Ignorance is bliss for Jets coach

New York Jets coach Aaron Glenn says he is not worried about his job security despite a three-game losing streak. The team has fallen to a 2-6 record this season, and Glenn holds a 5-20 record overall since taking charge.

Speaking on a video conference, Glenn explained that his main focus is improving the team each week. He noted that he understands how the business works, but his first job is to get the players ready. Team chairman Woody Johnson will ultimately decide his future, though Johnson has rarely made in-season coaching changes over his 26 years of ownership.

Tough losses mount up

The Jets enter this stretch amid a rebuild, and management did not set playoff expectations for this year. Instead, the focus was on seeing progress from the group.

Recent results have brought heavy criticism from fans and media members. On Sunday, the Jets became only the third team in the last 45 years to lose a game after scoring on their first six possessions. Glenn also faced criticism for clock management and in-game decisions, while center Josh Myers admitted the losses are incredibly frustrating.

Players back their leader

Despite the mounting pressure, the players are standing behind their coach. Team captain and linebacker Demario Davis praised Glenn for maintaining steady leadership through the tough results.

Glenn acknowledged that football is a bottom-line business where winning matters most. With nine games remaining on the schedule, the team still has a chance to turn things around, though upcoming matches against the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills will test their resolve.
