Donald back in full practice ahead of Monday night
Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald expects to play on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills. Donald missed Week 4 due to back soreness. He was limited in practice on Thursday but returned as a full participant on Friday.
Donald said after Friday practice that he feels good and is doing much better than he was. Head coach Sean McVay mentioned earlier in the week that the team hoped Donald would play against Buffalo as long as he responded well to practice. Donald knocked on the podium when stating he has not suffered any setbacks.
Donald working back into peak form
Donald came out of retirement at the end of August after missing two seasons. He missed the season opener for the Rams and has played two games so far. Across those two appearances, he logged 64 defensive snaps, four tackles, one tackle for a loss, and one quarterback hit.
He has recorded two pressures on 42 pass rushes this season. That 4.8 percent pressure rate is his lowest through Week 4 since at least 2018. In his 92 regular season games from 2018 to 2023, he recorded one or fewer pressures only three times. He has recorded one pressure in each game he has played this season.
Donald said he feels good about his stamina and that team rotations have helped him avoid feeling exhausted. He added that he just needs to keep going and try to be more productive.
